Greetings to family, friends, visitors and fellow genealogists. As you browse through these pages, I hope you find something you have been searching for, discover a bit about your heritage you did not know or, maybe you will have some information that I can include here.

I am researching various surnames with a focus on Frey, Gardner, Harpster, Koppenhafer, O'Brien, Shipe, Watts and Weary in Philadelphia, Northumberland, and Juniata Counties in Pennsylvania.

To navigate this site, use the site menu on the left to visit specific areas. You can also use the search box at the right to search for a specific person or a surname or used the advanced search. If you click on the login link and you registered, you can see your relationship to individuals. Don't have a login ID or password? Click on the login and then the Register for New User Account link.

Check out the Most Wanted page for elusive people I am searching for. Maybe you will have information to share on one of these people. In addition, any photos that are unidentified are kept here. Maybe one of those is your relative!

This project began sixteen years ago with a whimsical request, "I wish I could find out what happened to pappy's mother." Those words were from my mother, Rose, speaking about her paternal great grandmother, Maggie Gibbs Shipe. Together, we began scouring Ancestry and the Pennsylvania state library looking for clues.

Today, my mother has passed on and I am no closer to finding Maggie than I was all those years ago, but I won't give up; there is no stone too heavy to over turn.

This site is for you, Mom. I'm still searching.

11 Jan 2012 - Did you discover you are related and would like to submit your family? Click on find above and select Submit Family from the drop down menu. You need to register to do this, but it is FREE!
